A. Renee Pobjecky is a partner in the law firm of Pobjecky & Pobjecky, LLP, in Winter Haven, Florida where she focuses her practice on a variety of immigration issues. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science and minors in English and Business Administration. In 2001, she received her Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Florida and Texas.

Mrs. Pobjecky is a member of the International Sections of the American Bar Association and Florida Bar. She is also an active member of the Winter Haven Women’s Bar Association and is on the Steering Committee for the East Polk Bar Association.

Mrs. Pobjecky has been re-appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to serve a three-year term on the Florida Bar Standing Committee on the Unlicensed Practice of Law. She is a member of the Board of Director’s for the Polk County Florida Rural Legal Services and the recipient of the Pro Bono Attorney Outstanding Participation Award from Florida Rural Legal Services and the Lakeland Bar Association for 2006, 2008, and 2009.

In the past she has been a guest speaker at law schools across Florida for the “Pathways to Law Program” co-hosted by the International Sections of the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association. Such law schools include Stetson School of Law, University of Florida, Florida State and Barry School of Law. Mrs. Pobjecky was an invited Speaker at the American Immigration Lawyers Association Central Florida Chapter 22nd Annual Seminar in 2008.

She is currently serving as the Secretary for the AILA Central Florida Chapter and is the host of the weekly radio program “The Immigration Hour” which can be heard on www.blogtalkradio.com.
